Note that True Ice does not explode in The Battle for the Freljord, nor does each faction have a Clan Affinity (+1 Die in combat during either the day or night). Instead, each Champion has its own Class and each Class causes a different card symbol to explode. It is worth stressing that exploding die can occur in any situation, by contrast to Clan Affinity that previously only affected combat.
